Miyabun was founded as a restaurant in 1923 by Miyata Bunichi. Now they do cooking and catering of seasonal food, with an emphasis on using locally-grown produce. Their noren is made from very thin hemp cloth so the lattice door of the entrance and the beautiful garden within are not hidden from sight. Its design uses two gently overlapping circles. The gourd design on the lower left was taken from a design found on a traditional udatsu-style wall in the Miyata's house.
