Kazantei

This building used to be a blacksmith's shop, so their noren bears the simple image of an oldfashioned knife. The building was repaired and opened in 1997 as a free rest station by members of the Katsuyama Townscape Support Association. They hold monthly meetings here and it has become the headquarters for citizen-based town planning. The members sell soba noodles during town events and use the proceeds to encourage and support the noren community. It has become a place where people can interact with each other and get to know their town.
